Scanmaker 9800xl Driver For Mac
The issue is that I have attached my old Microteck ScanMaker 9800XL to my new iMac with OS 10.15.5 Catalina, and it is not detected in System Preferences/Printers and Scanners.
Locate the driver file using Windows Explorer when the download has completed. Running the downloaded file will extract all the driver files and setup program into a directory on your hard drive. The directory these driver are extracted to will have a similar name to the ScanMaker 9800XL model that was downloaded (for example c:ScanMaker 9800XL). There is a further driver update there for the X12 USL ScanMaker as well. That's all I can say. Thought I'd share the info, as the Microtek scanner saga with OS X is not so nice, and will any Mac owners ever buy a new Microtek scanner? I don't think so. robg adds: This older hint contains an alternative method of installing.
Csr bluetooth radio driver. I have double checked that my USB cable is not defective, and power and cables are all attached properly - USB-2 cable is plugged directly into a working USB port on the Mac, not a hub or extension. The scanner's green status OK light is on nice and steady. In fact, I tested the same cable to attach the scanner to a PC with Windows 10, and the Control Panel detected the scanner, and I checked that the scanner works fine.
I've tried rebooting the Mac after attaching the scanner and powering up. It still does not appear on the list in Add Printer or Scanner window. I've downloaded the ScanPotter2 driver, and the VueScan driver, and both of them display a message that there is no scanner found/attached to the computer, when in fact it is. I think those drivers might work if I could only get the scanner to be detected and added to the system.
PLEASE if anyone can help, or has a similar issue that they resolved, please respond as soon as possible!!
